Film Noir: just to note

Before I get started by spouting on the key aspects of film noir etc etc.

Just a quick note on modern day live action directors that I have been quickly researching into:

David Fincher ( Zodiac and Seven)
and Christopher Nolan (The Following and Memento)

They both use elements of film noir within their works.

I think this quote sums up Christopher Nolan quite well-
in some of his work he portrays people, sometimes on their own isolated from any surrounding structures, giving a fantastic sense of deep thought. He also uses Single colours but in many tones to help set the atmosphere.
